About The Position

Spiceworks Ziff Davis is seeking an Account Director to drive revenue growth with technology advertisers across North America. As an Account Director, you will operate as a full-cycle sales professional, responsible for developing new business, expanding existing client relationships, and delivering integrated marketing solutions to help clients achieve their marketing objectives. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Executive Director, Sales.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience selling marketing, media, intent data, demand generation, or advertising solutions.
  • Proven track record of exceeding multi-million-dollar annual revenue targets.
  • Experience managing strategic enterprise technology accounts.
  • Strong network and established relationships across the technology marketing and advertising ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate pipeline, develop new business, and grow existing accounts.
  • Excellent consultative selling, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and executive presence.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling media, marketing, demand generation, ABM, intent data, content, research or advertising solutions to B2B technology clients and agencies.
  • Existing relationships within the North American technology marketing and agency ecosystem would be strongly preferred.
  • A commercially driven full-cycle seller with an existing book of relationships, strong pipeline discipline, and the ability to generate revenue quickly in a North American territory.
  • Experience selling marketing, media, or demand generation solutions to technology advertisers or agencies.
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Ability to develop new business and grow strategic accounts.
  • Strong consultative selling and communication skills.
  • Organised with a strong pipeline and activity management.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Revenue Growth: Manage and grow a portfolio of technology advertisers and agencies. Prospect new clients and identify new revenue opportunities within existing accounts. Develop integrated marketing programs using the SWZD platform, including intent data, demand generation, content, research, and advertising solutions.
  • Build Strategic Client Relationships: Act as a trusted advisor to marketing leaders and agencies. Understand client objectives and develop tailored programs that deliver measurable results. Present strategic opportunities and drive long-term partnerships.
  • Generate and Manage Pipeline: Consistently build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities. Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing. Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting discipline within Salesforce.
  • Collaborate Internally: Work with internal teams, including marketing, operations, research, and product, to design and execute successful client programs. Partner with leadership to identify new market opportunities and refine our offerings.
  • Maintain Market Awareness: Stay informed on trends across marketing, advertising, technology, and demand generation. Bring insights back to the team to help strengthen client strategy and positioning.
