About The Position

We are looking for a seasoned, self-motivated sales professional to join our team in the role of Account Director, Media Sales. The Account Director will work to grow and maximize the revenue potential derived from the sale of multi media advertising vehicles within the Cineplex environment, including cinema, online mobile and data, as well as the digital signage networks, including The Rec Room, Playdium, shopping malls, and other assets current and evolving. This role will be based in and responsible for local and agency sales within the Kitchener/Waterloo/London market and surrounding area. This is a hybrid position with occasional travel to our Toronto office when required.

Requirements

  • Post Secondary education ideally in Sales, Marketing, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in media sales with a focus on new business development, client management and territory growth
  • Experience with local Ontario clients and agencies
  • Video, OOH, Cinema and Digital sales experience is preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle, as this role will involve regular travel within Ontario
  • Strong communication (both written and spoken), negotiating skills, and solution-oriented
  • Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Proactively contact key decision makers in the Ontario market through outbound calls, emails, in person meetings, social networks, etc. to extend existing client base
  • Build, maintain and grow a robust prospect database
  • Develop relationships with current, lapsed and new clients
  • Adopt thoughtful and resourceful strategies to meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Participate in weekly meetings and provide weekly call planning, and reporting, as required
  • Ensure that all prospective clients, their programs, products, and advertising media reflect and support the image and values of the Cineplex brand
  • Understand and communicate advertising products inside and out – have a clear and persuasive 30 sec elevator pitch on each product, and the overall integrated platforms
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our theatre, mall, and recreational networks, as well as our digital, data, and new products
  • Work closely with our media solutions and production teams to manage the sales process from request for proposal to final sign off, implementation, and post reporting
