About The Position

As an Account Coordinator for interior finishes, you will play a key role in the success of our installed projects by supporting the Interior Sales Specialist. From product selection to invoicing, you’ll ensure seamless project execution and excellent customer service while collaborating with multiple teams across the company. FBS is a lumber and building material company that has been in business for more than 45 years, with locations spread across Idaho and one in Nevada. We supply just about everything besides plumbing and electrical to build homes, focusing on serving professional home builders. Along with supplying materials, we install a wide range of products and also manufacture trusses, cabinets, doors, and granite countertops. Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Basic knowledge of the construction industry and a desire to grow your knowledge.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and floor layouts.
  • Professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with others.
  • Ability to stay calm and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in project coordination or the construction industry.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Previous experience in sales or customer service is a plus.
  • Knowledge of flooring, countertops, and cabinetry products is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire process for flooring, tile, countertop, and cabinetry installations, supporting the sales team with documentation, bids, and project tracking to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
  • Work closely with the design, estimating, drafting, and field management teams to facilitate smooth handoffs and ensure successful job completion.
  • Provide exceptional service by being a direct point of contact for customers when needed. Ensure customers’ needs are met promptly and professionally.
  • Coordinate project timelines with the scheduling desk and our field project managers to ensure smooth transitions between each stage of the project.
  • Maintain up-to-date records for all project documents and project management software, ensuring job details, statuses, and timelines are accurately tracked.
  • Assist customers who don’t use an in-house designer to clarify selections and products, complete all associated paperwork.
  • Proactively identify and resolve scheduling or product-related challenges to ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly approach in all interactions with customers, subcontractors, and colleagues.
  • Balance multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize responsibilities, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Assist with phone calls, walk-in customers, and other office duties as required.
