About The Position

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is seeking an Account Analyst for their Employee Benefits team. This is a hybrid position based out of their regional office(s). The Account Analyst will support the Account Management Team with client service needs, including handling billing inquiries, researching claim and enrollment issues, and tracking service issues. They will also be responsible for inputting and summarizing benchmarking data, monitoring eligibility updates, preparing benefit guides, and escalating complex issues. The role requires taking initiative to learn new tools and technologies, participating in training, and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-15 insurance license within 90 days of hire
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Working knowledge of Benefit Point Management System and/or EPIC, or willingness to learn
  • Respond quickly to client requests and work to provide appropriate information
  • Accept accountability for the quality of work
  • Well organized, strong attention to detail, deadline oriented, strong sense of urgency and self-motivated
  • Ability to interact with various personality styles and manage requests from multiple sources
  • Team-oriented and collaborative

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Prior Agency or Benefit Carrier experience
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in excel

Responsibilities

  • Support the Account Management Team with client service needs such as billing inquiries, researching claim/enrollment issues and tracking and documenting service issues through the agency management system
  • Input and summarize benchmarking data in MMA formatted presentation
  • Monitor the Employee Navigator wall notification for eligibility updates. Update information in carrier system as needed (eligibility add, changes, terminations); Enter and review data in agency management system
  • Prepare and peer review Benefit Guides for clients with less than a certain level of employees enrolled and/or revenue
  • Escalate issues of increase complexity, according to department standards, to the applicable internal contact
  • Take the initiative to gain proficiency with new tools/technology, as they become available
  • Participate in company sponsored seminars, training workshops and webinars to enhance industry knowledge and education
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
