About The Position

To assess the soundness and effectiveness of Broadview’s member share accounts and the account opening process; including staff handling of new account application procedures to mitigate risk, potential fraud and avoid financial loss. This role is responsible for monitoring, assessing, and tracking exceptions found on individual new share accounts by performing regular and timely review audits. It ensures compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and adherence to organizational deposit and account opening procedures. This position serves as a subject matter expert.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or equivalent business experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of retail branch experience
  • Strong PC skills are necessary, specifically Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to solve complex business problems in a fast-paced business environment
  • Ability to perform complex analysis using sound judgment, experience, and expertise
  • Ability to present complex information, both verbally and in writing, in an understandable manner

Responsibilities

  • Review retail share and certificate product types ensuring that accounts opened meet credit union and regulatory membership, process, and documentation standards
  • Perform regular reviews of share products to determine compliance with organizational account opening policy, procedures, and state and federal regulation
  • Partner with DIG and Retail / Branch Operations to ensure data and reporting accuracy
  • Provide expertise for staff inquiries regarding new account policies and procedures and existing account maintenance
  • Regularly monitor, track and address staff review exceptions and develop plans for corrective action where appropriate.
  • Provide regular front office staff follow-up to ensure exceptions are corrected in a timely manner
  • Work with the Senior Account Analyst to provide in-depth trending results to management, detailing year to date and month to month exception trends
  • Identify potential processes to automate Quality Assurance review functions
  • Responsible for regular updates to all Quality Assurance account review procedures
  • Maintain a working knowledge of developments in regulatory and account opening policies
  • Maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Other duties as needed
