Job Summary The Accreditation Manager splits time between the Continuing Professional Development and Graduate Medical Education divisions of MGB Education. The position works closely with the Senior Program Manager of CPD and is responsible for ensuring ongoing program accreditation for Mass General Brigham-sponsored programs, including facilitating all communication with the ACCME, ACGME, and Joint Accreditation. This position reports to the Executive Director, Education.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
At least 3-5 years of hospital/managed care experience required
At least 2-3 years of accreditation experience required
Knowledgeable with healthcare experience with accreditation readiness and regulatory agencies.
Excellent time management and project management skills.
Ability to exercise sound judgments to make decisions within scope of job responsibilities.
Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree preferred
At least 1-2 years of leadership experience preferred
Prior ACCME, CPD, and ACGME accreditation knowledge and/or experience highly preferred
Financial management experience highly preferred
Advanced skills with Microsoft applications, which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Access, and other web-based applications
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

Serves as a content expert on CPD accreditation and provides consultative services to all levels of the organization on accreditation/regulatory topics
Serves as the primary Education Office contact for assigned subset of accredited programs at specialty (Mass Eye and Ear, McLean Hospital, Spaulding Rehabilitation) and community (Salem, Newton Wellesley) hospitals.
Works closely with the VP of GME/DIO to ensure accreditation requirements are fulfilled for those programs, including: Managing and supporting reporting requirements for Continuing Professional Development with the ACCME and JA, Supporting accreditation visit preparation efforts, Ensuring program coordinators are aware of upcoming deadlines, Communicating with the ACCME and ensuring data are provided in a timely fashion
Responsible for accounting and financial management of CPD-related revenue and expenses, including: Oversight of revenue collection for courses and RSS's, Responsible for management of external grants, Ensuring vendor payment, With Executive Director and Senior Accreditation Manager, ensuring reconciliation of RSS and course finances
Acts as lead for ensuring that the 170+ Regularly Scheduled Series (RSS’s) maintain accreditation standards, provide reporting requirements, including conflict of interest statements, and support the Senior Program Manager
Presents at coordinator workshops/retreats, program director orientation, and program director retreat as directed by the Senior Accreditation Manager and Senior Program Manager
Assists Senior Program Manager in providing support for CPD-related committee meetings as needed.
Assists the Senior Accreditation Manager and Senior Accreditation Director as needed for institution-level site visits, self-evaluations and reviews
Acts as a team leader for small projects or work groups as needed, creating a collaborative and respectful team environment and improving workflows.
