About The Position

As an Accessory Shop Technician, you will be responsible for component maintenance and repair. This includes performing component maintenance in accordance with manufacturer maintenance manuals, SkyWest GMM, and established shop procedures to ensure flight safety. You will be required to become familiar with and understand the GMM, and maintain a clean and hazard-free assigned work area. Additionally, you will be responsible for keeping tools and support equipment in a clean, safe, and operational condition at all times. Safety is paramount, and you will be required to wear eye and ear protection as necessary when using tools or operating machinery. This position requires availability to work any shift and overtime if necessary.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid state-issued driver’s license.
  • Able to pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
  • Read, write and understand English.
  • Have mechanical experience and or aptitude.
  • Work well with others.
  • Willing to work any shift assigned (Four 10 Hour Shifts). Days of the week to be determined.
  • Willing to work weekend shift when needed.
  • Be able to lift 75 lbs. from the floor to chest height with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
  • This is a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with and understand the GMM.
  • Maintain assigned work area in the shop to ensure it is kept clean and free of hazards.
  • Keep tools and support equipment in a clean, safe, and operational condition at all times.
  • Wear eye and ear protection as necessary to safeguard sight and hearing while using tools or operating machinery.
  • Be available to work any shift and overtime if necessary.
