Accessioning Technicians are responsible for the receipt and data entry of samples for diagnostic testing. They will be responsible for the receipt and data entry of samples for diagnostic testing. They will black out the slide, print a label – put on the slide with no impact to the sample on the slide. They will, as needed, split cases into replicates and label each. Each label will be recorded onto Excel. The Accessioning Technician will ensure all sample information is accurately entered in a laboratory information management system allowing the sample to move forward for testing. This is a contract position in Phoenix, AZ (6 mos., possible extension).

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high throughput environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent computer and data entry skills, particularly strong in MS Office Suite.
• Demonstrate an ability to multitask.
• Must be able to work independently as well as work collaboratively within the team environment.
• Good written and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• A degree in Biology or a closely related field is preferred, but not required.
• Prior experience with a laboratory information management system a plus.
