About The Position

The Access Control Technician works independently and alongside other installers to complete installations and service calls. The role is responsible for completing assigned daily procedures and paperwork on time, as well as caring for and maintaining an assigned vehicle. The position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, self-motivation, a task-driven approach, and the ability to apply best practices. The technician uses hand and power tools and works with access control, CCTV, networking, and security systems.

Requirements

At least 1 year of field experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Highly detailed, organized, and able to multitask.
Competent desktop and mobile computing skills.
Clean driving record and successful background check, required for DCJS certification.
Self-motivated and task-driven, with the ability to apply best practices.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Basic understanding of multi-room systems and setup.
Basic understanding of security system programming and design.
Basic understanding of Brivo systems.

Responsibilities

Install access control systems.
Install CCTV systems.
Troubleshoot access control systems, including advanced troubleshooting.
Install and set up basic networking and data systems.
Perform basic programming for single-room systems and advanced systems.
Support multi-room systems and setup.
Apply a basic understanding of security system programming and design.
Work with Brivo systems.
Complete installations and service calls independently and with other installers.
Complete assigned daily procedures and paperwork in a timely manner.
Care for and maintain the assigned vehicle.
