About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Access Control Technician for a new construction project. The technician must have hands-on experience installing and wiring access control devices, trimming out doors, and pulling CAT6 cable.

Requirements

• Previous Access Control installation experience required.
• Strong experience with card readers, strikes, maglocks, REX devices, and door contacts.
• Experience trimming out and wiring doors required.
• Experience pulling and routing CAT6 cable.
• Ability to read prints and wiring diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Basic industry hand tools

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working on commercial new construction projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and wire card readers, door strikes, maglocks, REX devices, and door contacts.
• Perform complete door trim-outs and wiring for access control systems.
• Pull, route, dress, and label CAT6 cable.
• Run access control cabling to doors, panels, and device locations.
• Terminate and troubleshoot access control wiring and devices.
• Read and follow prints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications.
• Maintain clean and professional cable routing and device installations.
• Coordinate with other trades working throughout the new construction site.
• Follow all jobsite safety requirements and procedures.
