About The Position

As an Access Control Specialist, you serve as a key member of the team responsible for maintaining the security and operational integrity of client facilities during maintenance operations. Your primary responsibilities include escorting maintenance contractors within restricted areas while ensuring strict adherence to security protocols, performing administrative maintenance tasks, and coordinating vendor activities. You take on entry-level project management responsibilities for small maintenance and repair projects, maintaining detailed documentation of all activities. This role is integral to ensuring facilities remain secure, well-maintained, and efficiently operated while balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Strong technical acumen and electronics troubleshooting skills
Valid Driver's License with ability to travel between local client sites
Ability to work effectively as a self-starter in both structured and unstructured environments with strict attention to detail
Strong electronic communication skills for coordinating with team members, managers, vendors, and clients
Familiarity with general electrical and electronics safety procedures and protocols
Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure, manage time effectively, and work in fast-paced environments with competing priorities

Previous experience with security operations, classified areas, and restricted access environments
Experience with work order management systems and technical documentation processes

Responsibilities

Review the daily schedule for planned maintenance activities and coordinate with vendors scheduled for on-site work
Escort maintenance contractors into restricted spaces, ensuring adherence to all security protocols and access only to authorized areas
Update and maintain access control software systems, ensuring accuracy and security compliance
Process vendor work orders administratively, tracking progress and confirming completion of assigned tasks
Communicate with JLL maintenance stakeholders regarding the status of ongoing work and project updates
Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities, vendor interactions, and security-related incidents
Oversee small maintenance and repair projects, coordinating timelines, resources, and deliverables
Respond to urgent maintenance needs and security concerns as they arise throughout the day
