About The Position

The Access/Clinical Assessor serves as a critical entry point into Children's Intensive Services by conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and connecting youth and families to appropriate behavioral health services. As a member of the referral and assessment team, this position advances LCSNW's mission by promoting timely access to care, reducing barriers to services, and providing compassionate, person-centered support across home, school, office, and community settings.

Requirements

  • 2 year(s) of related experience; knowledge, education, and training in the areas of human behavior and mental health; awareness of individual differences in ability, personality, and interest.
  • Master’s in social work, psychology, or related field.
  • Washington State credential required within (60) days of hire. Acceptable credentials include Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Advanced Social Worker (LASW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA). Equivalent credentials may be accepted depending on program or location requirements. Full licensure is not required for this role.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written

Driving and traveling to community locations. The position also requires verbal and written communication, computer and phone use, and work in varied office, homes, and community environments.
  • Move equipment/materials weighing up to (25) pounds.
  • Travels between worksites occasionally
  • Works in a variety of settings, including and not limited to LCSNW office locations, partner agency and community-based settings including client home, and faith-based settings such as churches
  • Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other job-relevant clearances as required by the State or program

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments, facilitate the intake and enrollment process, and complete required documentation to ensure timely access to appropriate services.
  • Engage youth, families, and system partners through collaborative, family-centered services delivered in office, home, school and community settings while maintaining flexibility to meet client needs.
  • Complete required clinical assessments, min of 4 per day. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, and ensure compliance with agency, program, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work schedule may require adjustment as necessary to accommodate client and family scheduling needs, including hours outside of traditional business hours.
  • Demonstrate cultural humility, uphold professional and ethical standards, and provide services that are respectful, equitable, and responsive to the unique needs of each individual and family.
  • Participate in supervision, required meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of program operations and the agency's mission.
