About The Position

Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana seeks energetic, self-motivated, and dynamic professionals to join its expanding team. VOAOHIN is dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. As an organization stretching across Ohio and Indiana, we have over 1000 committed and compassionate employees working in multiple impact areas. A certified recovery specialist is an individual who can use their own lived life experiences to help peers toward the path of sustained recovery from substance use disorder. As part of the first point of contact for the organization, the Access Peer Recovery Coach will be highly engaged on the frontlines of the referral process. This position is responsible for client-focused outreach, delivering one-on-one coaching to incoming and potential clients in accordance with the CRS code of ethics, DMHA, DCS, Recovery Works, and VOA policies and procedures, and managing referrals for new clients in various Behavioral Health programs in Indiana and Ohio, including screening and scheduling. The candidate is expected to be courteous, customer service focused, resourceful, professional, and flexible. The position is partially remote with consistent in-person commitments and some Indiana travel expected. Our work touches the mind, body, heart – and ultimately the spirit – of those we serve, integrating our deep compassion with highly effective programs and services.
