About The Position

This position involves performing administrative and clerical support tasks within the Training Academy. Requirements

  • Successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training (if applying for a position in a store that sells firearms).
  • Will successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments.
  • 6 month current Walmart operations experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs administrative and clerical support tasks by answering phone calls and forwarding as needed, providing information, and taking and recording messages; scheduling appointments; greeting persons entering facility and directing or escorting them to specific destinations; providing information or documents to others; using office equipment appropriately (for example, computer, facsimile machine); helping resolve training participant issues; organizing and scheduling participant travel arrangements; and processing and preparing memos, correspondence, and other documents.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities in the Training Academy by appropriately using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicating information related to project status; identifying improvement opportunities and making recommendations; adapting to and learning from changes to procedures; and accepting and acting upon feedback.
  • Performs administrative support for the Training Academy by providing participants relevant information on company policies, procedures, and ethical standards while traveling to and operating within the Training Academy; and working with participants to ensure that scheduled travel arrangements comply with company guidelines.
  • Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities; coordinating and executing work assignments; providing advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved; and modeling and helping others with how to adapt to change or new challenges.
  • Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; analyzing and applying information from multiple sources; monitoring progress and results; and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
