A qualified candidate will be knowledgeable and have experience tutoring or teaching accounting, and be able to work in home, in person in Ottawa.
Requirements
- Experience tutoring or teaching accounting.
- Able to work in home, in person in Ottawa.
- Hold a current, valid registration with the Ontario College of Teachers.
- Qualified teacher in Canada or the United States (or in the process of becoming one).
- Current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education.
- Experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. or Canadian university.
Responsibilities
- Empower students with academic support based on the Ontario curriculum.
- Develop customized learning plans that help students truly understand the material, not just memorize it.
- Offer remedial and enrichment opportunities to help students who need extra support—or a challenge to stretch them further.
- Collaborate with parents to keep them in the loop on progress, struggles, and successes.
