The Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology (MMI) invites applications for a full-time, one-year (renewable) Academic Teaching Staff (ATS) position. The teaching load is commensurate with guidelines set out in the ATS agreement and will be equivalent to 4 courses per year. This appointment requires a Ph.D. degree with a focus in infection and immunity and extensive wet laboratory experience. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience, especially related to infection and immunity. The appointee must be able to teach MMI 133 (Medical Microbiology for Health Care Professionals), MMI 426 (Medical Parasitology), and other courses offered by MMI. MMI 133 is offered in the Fall, Winter, and Spring terms and is a large class with approximately 200 students from multiple Faculties. MMI 426 is offered in the Fall term and has an enrollment of approximately 60 students, primarily upper-level students in the Immunology and Infection undergraduate program.
