About The Position

The Conard Learning Center (CLC) is a dynamic space designed for student collaboration, project work, and academic assistance through peer tutors in subjects like Math, Writing, and Science. The CLC enhances students' academic skills and fosters peer relationships. It also serves as a workforce development hub for student employees. The Academic Success and Enrichment Specialist 2 plays a key administrative and supervisory role in the CLC's tutor operations and collaborates closely with the campus Academic Success Team.

Requirements

• Experience training and managing people
• Experience in education and specifically peer-tutoring environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Teams and Excel
• Ability to learn university systems such as Oncourse (EAB Navigate), Student Information System, Tableau dashboards

Responsibilities

• Manages and evaluates tutoring services and programs for math, science, and writing courses, and others as needed.
• Serves as a liaison between students and faculty to provide academic support.
• Recruits, hires, trains, and supervises 25-30 student employees annually.
• Manages the CLC budget efficiently using data-driven approaches for student worker scheduling.
• Oversees the testing center, proctoring exams for external clients and College Credit Plus/dual enrollment students requiring Accuplacer.
• Supports on-campus events such as orientations and Buckeye Preview Day.
• Conducts outreach through university platforms like Oncourse (EAB Navigate).
• Creates and distributes promotional materials, including managing CLC social media pages.
• Designs and supervises programs to enhance student academic success.
• Collects and analyzes data from various platforms to inform data-driven decisions regarding program offerings and staffing.
