About The Position

Anderson University Department for Enrollment Management invites applications for a part-time (25-28 hours/week) Academic Success Advisor. Anderson University is an innovative, entrepreneurial, premier comprehensive, liberal arts university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention. The University seeks a qualified candidate with a strong Christian value system, lifestyle, and commitment to the integration of faith and learning. The Academic Success Advisor will serve as a central resource for post-traditional students, providing personalized support to each student, as assigned by the Director of Graduate Admission and Advising, from acceptance to graduation. The Academic Success Advisor will develop degree program strategies that will engage and motivate students in their area of study, regularly communicating and assisting students with the admission, registration, financial or other processes required for program completion. As a key contributor to the university’s retention goals, this position will assist with various enrollment management duties, including monitoring post-traditional and graduate applications, informing applicants of FAFSA, employer reimbursement, or other appropriate forms of financial assistance, and provide admitted students with clear next steps of the university’s enrollment, registration, and student information system log-in process. This position will create and maintain collaborative working relationships with College Deans, Graduate Program Directors, and other university leadership, providing them with regular feedback, suggesting program improvements, and performing additional duties as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous administrative or professional capacities, including direct responsibility for student records, enrollment and registration activities.
  • Ability to work on multiple software systems, such as Slate, Workday, and Canvas.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a central resource for post-traditional students, providing personalized support from acceptance to graduation.
