About The Position

This position is on the Oxford College of Emory University campus, 36 miles east of Atlanta. The Academic Programs Associate leads and supports program(s), including developing tools, resources, and timelines as needed to ensure program success. This role involves developing and conducting surveys and assessments to identify program needs and gaps, and making recommendations to management for improvements. The Associate advises management on issues and matters of significance related to current program success and future initiatives. They establish schedules, oversee arrangements, and provide logistics support for events, conferences, meetings, seminars, and other venues as requested. The role also involves gathering and coordinating the dissemination of information regarding new or revised policies and procedures, responding to inquiries regarding departmental policies and procedures, and making referrals when appropriate. This position may manage projects related to student progress, enrollment, registration, and recruitment, as well as various databases and budgets. The Associate may serve as a liaison and facilitator among program faculty, students, and administration to resolve registration, admissions, and other program-related concerns. They may represent the program(s) at recruitment events, conferences, meetings, seminars, and other events, and may be required to present and speak on behalf of the program(s). Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of academic program administration and higher education operations.
  • Strong project and program coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple programs, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate established policies, procedures, and program requirements.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and appropriately escalate complex or sensitive matters.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when working with confidential academic and student information.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective processes, tools, resources, timelines, and documentation.
  • Ability to compile information, monitor program measures, and prepare reports and presentations for leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with faculty, students, administrators, and University partners.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies, systems, and evolving academic initiatives.
  • A bachelor's degree and two years of experience working with academic programs or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
