About The Position

The Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented Academic Program Specialist to support multiple research laboratories and world-renowned investigators. In this dynamic role, you will serve as the operational backbone of our research enterprise – coordinating laboratory operations, purchasing, equipment management, regulatory compliance, student employee supervision, and administrative support that keeps innovative research moving forward. If you enjoy solving complex problems, building relationships, working in a collaborative scientific environment, and making a meaningful impact behind the scenes, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to discoveries that improve cardiovascular health around the world. This position is full or part-time, 80%-100% This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Requirements

  • Previous wet lab experience

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates program components and evaluates program effectiveness and provides recommendations for improvement
  • May supervise the day to day activities of one or more academic programs and resolves issues exercising discretion to meet unit goals.
  • Utilizes independent judgement regarding development, implementation, promotion, and evaluation for one or more academic programs, initiatives, or events
  • Identifies program, needs, contributes to the development of unit workflows, schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, events, and interviews
