Supports the day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of a defined program or set of funded activities. Programs are usually focused to a single purpose, may be educational, or service oriented, and may exist as a subset of an integrated funded program activity. Under the direction of the Project Director, this position supports the administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Rural Health Professions Program (RHPP) and AHEC Scholars Program (ASP). The role contributes to student engagement, academic program delivery, and community-based learning initiatives focused on rural and medically underserved populations. The Academic Program Assistant provides operational, administrative, and technical support for program activities, including community partnership development, data management, reporting, and event coordination. This position plays a key role in ensuring program effectiveness, supporting student experiences, and maintaining compliance with grant and institutional requirements.
