About The Position

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek a Gastroenterologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) to practice in Uniontown, PA. The successful candidate will practice in the areas of gastroenterology and hepatology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Tremendous institutional support for academic pursuits particularly pertaining to chronic viral hepatitis and inflammatory bowel disease is available. We offer treatment to those in Pennsylvania, West Virginia as well as patients from other states. There is a culture of professionalism and cooperation within the Department of Medicine. The growing Section of Digestive Diseases offers opportunities to build and design programs within a large referral academic center.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligible for state medical license.
  • Completed an accredited internal medicine residency program.
  • Completed a gastroenterology fellowship.
  • Board eligible/board certified in gastroenterology and hepatology.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
