About The Position

The Student & Academic Partnerships Coordinator develops and manages partnerships with schools, technical colleges, universities, and healthcare training programs to build a sustainable workforce pipeline for the organization. This position serves as the primary liaison between educational institutions and all Tamarack Health locations, creating opportunities for student engagement, recruitment, and career development.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Human Resources, Education, Healthcare Administration, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in recruitment, workforce development, education partnerships, student services, healthcare administration, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing relationships with schools, colleges, universities, or community organizations preferred.
  • Experience coordinating internships, clinical placements, student programs, or workforce development initiatives preferred.
  • Experience within healthcare, higher education, or rural communities preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with high schools, technical colleges, colleges, universities, and healthcare training programs
  • Determine the best and most appropriate relationships to build that add value to Tamarack Health and our top areas of need
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for educational partners, faculty, program directors, career services staff, and students
  • Coordinate student experiences including internships, clinical placements, job shadowing, apprenticeships, and other workforce development programs
  • Build and execute recruitment strategies specific for student programs that create a pipeline of future healthcare professionals aligned with organizational workforce needs
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to identify workforce needs and align student engagement opportunities accordingly
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and communication for students participating in organizational programs
  • Promote rural healthcare careers and educate students on employment opportunities within the organization and community
  • Maintain affiliation agreements and ensure compliance with organizational and educational requirements
  • Track and report key metrics related to partnerships, student placements, recruitment outcomes, and pipeline effectiveness
  • Foster a positive student experience that encourages future employment and long-term retention within the organization
  • Participate in workforce development initiatives that support the organization's long-term staffing and succession planning goals.
