About The Position

Academic Interventionists at Phalen Leadership Academies (PLA) are passionate and devoted leaders dedicated to improving the learning experience for scholars. The role involves delivering small-group or individualized reading, math, or dyslexia-specific interventions in a compassionate and nurturing environment. Responsibilities include monitoring student progress, adjusting instruction based on data, assisting in the implementation of specialized learning plans, and collaborating with classroom teachers as a resource for implementing Tier 2/3 curriculum.

Requirements

• A passion for working with students and families in under-served communities
• Bachelor’s (Master’s degree preferred) or higher from an accredited college or university, with appropriate endorsements, if applicable
• Valid State Teacher License with a minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience
• Effective pedagogical skills driven by standards and data-driven assessment
• Experience tracking and using data to drive instruction
