About The Position

In alignment with university policies and procedures, the Academic Evaluator is responsible for analyzing student academic records and evaluating prior credit for active undergraduate and graduate students. This role ensures accurate application of transfer credit toward degree requirements while maintaining consistency and integrity across academic programs.

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of related experience in academic records, transfer evaluation, registrar services, admissions, advising, or higher education operations required or strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; associate’s degree or relevant evaluator/academic records experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a continuous, high-volume caseload of documents submitted through the Imaging Workflow system, applying independent judgment and complex academic policies.
  • Evaluate transfer credit for applicability toward degree requirements.
  • Produce accurate advising reports and maintain up-to-date student academic records to support high-quality student service.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic, high-performing team to meet established evaluation turnaround time expectations.
  • Maintain working knowledge of academic curricula across multiple catalog years.
  • Participate in team and Registrar’s Office meetings and serve on committees to represent departmental interests.
  • Support departmental projects and assist with system testing during new implementations or updates.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, including the Academic Policies and Procedures Manual (APPM), Policy and Operations Manual (POM), Curriculum Standards Manual (CSM), and applicable academic catalogs.
