About The Position

The Learning Institute at Women's College Hospital (WCH) is seeking an organized and motivated Education Coordinator to support the implementation and maintenance of high-quality educational initiatives across the organization. Reporting directly to the Director, Learning Institute and working in close consultation with the Lead, Digital Learning & Curricular Design, this role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for education.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an undergraduate degree; MEd or related qualification preferred.
  • Two years of progressively related experience supporting education related activities and managing multifaceted projects.
  • Progressively related experience liaising with multidisciplinary key partners, including communications with staff and clinicians in health-related organizations as well as managing communications with senior team members internally and externally.
  • Experience with coordination and user management support for digital learning platforms or systems (including registration, content management, analytics, etc.), with flexibility to learn new software and computer applications is required.
  • Superior proficiency with Microsoft suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communications skills are required to communicate effectively with all levels of organization and Universities.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize a high volume of tasks and requests.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, develop proposals, and work independently and problem solve.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills in effectively working with all levels of staff.
  • Demonstrated alignment WCH vision mission and values.
  • Demonstrated record of good performance and acceptable attendance will be considered as part of the selection criteria.
  • Professional behaviour and communication that meets the standards of the professional regulatory college or association, as applicable, and the standards of Women’s College Hospital.
  • This position plays a critical role in acting as an advocate for safety and will demonstrate principles, practices and processes that will optimize a safe environment for all.

Responsibilities

  • Learning Management System administrative support, including user management support (e.g., learner registration), reporting and tracking and editing of education courses, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Provide support for coordination of Academic initiatives led by the Learning Institute such as the annual WCH awards, including but not limited to Education Awards, Education Support Fund, and select events (including developing calls, coordinating review committees and project meetings, coordinating event logistics and communications, preparing documents, financial documents, certificates, etc.)
  • Content management for Learning Institute webpages, including creation, updates, maintenance, edits and troubleshooting.
  • Academic Education Events Communication: maintain accurate listing for various groups to receive regular information on Academic and Education related activities
  • Coordinates all aspects of Education Scholarship Programming including liaising with various staff/interest groups and fulfilling appropriate paperwork, plan program activities including education sessions, journal clubs, workshops, rounds, and supporting communities of practice and networks.
  • Coordinates bi-weekly payroll submission and supports the on-boarding of all new individuals to Education.
  • Manage space utilization queries and associated reporting for education.
  • Support organizational reporting including data collection and reporting submissions such as KPI’s, Quality reports, and CEO reports.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for questions, concerns, on Learning Institute Services, problem solving and providing guidance for education leads, staff and trainees.
  • As a role model and champion, you will work to identify and integrate safe, best practices into daily activities to foster the delivery of safe and exemplary care.
