About The Position

The Academic Coach at the Whitney Campus in Anacortes helps school-age youth build academic skills, independence, and confidence. The role provides homework support, introduces engaging STEM challenges, explores technology, and creates hands-on learning experiences that encourage youth to ask questions, solve problems, and discover new interests.

The Academic Coach builds positive relationships with youth and collaborates with Club staff, families, schools, and community partners to create a welcoming, supportive, and rewarding learning environment. The role calls for patience, creativity, enthusiasm, and the ability to adapt to different ways of learning while making learning encouraging and fun.
