About The Position

Grand Canyon University is seeking an Academic Coach to provide support services to ensure compliance with regulatory standards for all, creating a secure, supportive tutoring environment. This position will be located on the Schofield Barracks Army Base. We are especially interested in applicants who can strengthen the diversity of our academic community and integrate faith. This is a temporary role that starts in August 2026 and is expected to end mid-December 2026.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution
• Must be able to obtain personal military credentials for access to U.S. military bases.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Tutoring or teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring and support in English and Math to help candidates prepare for BSEP.
• Collect and maintain candidate data related to tutoring assistance, assessment, and progress monitoring.
• Provide feedback and coaching to help candidates improve their study habits.
• Provide consistent guidance to candidates that align with program outcomes and requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality of candidate records and services provided.
• Utilize electronic resources like video-conferencing technology, and for scheduling candidates.
• Clear communication with candidates, and Base staff
• Other duties as assigned.
