About The Position

Academic Coach Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County Part-Time (18-22 hrs/week) | $20.90-$22.17 DOE/DOQ Some kids just need help with homework. Others need someone who can help them discover that learning can actually be exciting. We're looking for an Academic Coach who believes education is more than worksheets and textbooks. Someone who can spark curiosity, build confidence, and help youth see themselves as capable learners. If you've ever turned a simple question into an adventure, used creativity to explain a difficult concept, or watched a young person light up when something finally "clicked," this may be the role for you. As an Academic Coach, you'll provide academic support, homework help, and enrichment activities for youth while creating a positive environment where learning feels engaging and meaningful. You'll help members strengthen academic skills, develop healthy study habits, and explore new ideas through hands-on learning opportunities that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and STEM exploration. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping young people discover how the world works, whether that's through science experiments, engineering challenges, creative projects, technology, or simply finding new ways to make learning fun and approachable. We're looking for someone who can build strong relationships with youth, celebrate their successes, encourage them through challenges, and help them develop the confidence to tackle difficult subjects. You'll work alongside Club staff, families, schools, and community partners to help youth reach their full potential. At Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County, we believe learning should inspire curiosity, encourage exploration, and help young people discover what they're capable of achieving. If you're excited about helping youth grow academically while making learning something they genuinely look forward to, we'd love to hear from you.
