Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County is seeking an Academic Coach who believes education is more than worksheets and textbooks. This role is for someone who can spark curiosity, build confidence, and help youth see themselves as capable learners. The Academic Coach will provide academic support, homework help, and enrichment activities for youth, creating a positive environment where learning is engaging and meaningful. The goal is to help members strengthen academic skills, develop healthy study habits, and explore new ideas through hands-on learning opportunities that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and STEM exploration. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping young people discover how the world works, whether through science experiments, engineering challenges, creative projects, technology, or simply finding new ways to make learning fun and approachable. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with youth, celebrate their successes, encourage them through challenges, and help them develop the confidence to tackle difficult subjects. This role involves collaboration with Club staff, families, schools, and community partners to help youth reach their full potential.
