Part of a professional team of advisors housed in the School of Communication and the Arts, this position works predominantly with first year-students to set them up for success in their four years at Marist. The Academic Advisor meets regularly with students to develop the semester schedules and four-year course plans to ensure that pathways are chosen by the end of the first year, and academic and proper degree requirements are met. Academic advisors work throughout the academic year, answering student questions as they arise, assist when a student is struggling in a course, and offer insight and guidance on opportunities to pursue internships and study abroad.
