The Meyerhoff Scholars Program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore Campus offers a distinct emphasis on highly able students who aspire to become leading research scientists and engineers. The program is open to people of all backgrounds committed to increasing the representation of minorities in science and engineering. The program adheres to 13 key components. Meyerhoffs rely on mutual support and continually challenge each other to do more, creating an environment of positive peer influence and mutually beneficial relationships in the pursuit of excellence. This position will provide foundational advising (academic and career), track student progress, and coordinate the day-to-day retention activities for sophomore Meyerhoff Scholars. In addition, the incumbent will develop and facilitate targeted programming to include workshops, seminars, group sessions, and one-on-one meetings promoting academic best practices, graduate pathway preparation, and research engagement. Additionally, this position will support the six-week residential Summer Bridge Program.
