This role involves supporting students at risk of retention, helping them achieve academic, personal, and professional success, and providing supervision to Academic Advisor I positions.

Requirements

  • 3 Years of relevant experience (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Receives, processes, and responds to academic inquiries according to established policies and procedures, handling requests that require escalation due to complexity.
  • Serves as a main point of contact for students who pose retention risks, providing complex organizational information about educational options, academic requirements, and institutional resources and addressing their needs.
  • Counsels students in identifying and assessing their interests, skills, and values to match appropriate fields of study and career options and refers students to appropriate institutional resources.
  • Maintains confidentiality and accurate student records according to program policies.
  • Develops, plans, and implements academic advising programs such as workshops, panel discussions, and guest speakers.
  • Provides leadership, guidance, and supervision to Academic Advisor I positions.
