The USC Marshall School of Business is seeking an Academic Advisor to join the Office of Undergraduate Advising and Student Affairs. This office supports the education and development of undergraduate students by providing academic support and student engagement programs and services. These services include academic advisement, internal transfer admissions, new student orientation, scholarships, honors, awards, and student organization support. The office advises over 4300 undergraduate majors and 1400 minors. The position currently operates on a hybrid work schedule. Academic Advisors are the primary point of contact for students throughout their undergraduate journey, offering guidance on academic planning and policies, and providing holistic advising that addresses academic, personal, and professional development. Responsibilities include managing student caseloads, proactive outreach to students facing academic challenges, connecting students with campus resources, developing success plans, monitoring degree progress, and intervening to ensure timely graduation. The team also manages internal transfers, minor admissions, emphasis declarations, specialized advising for joint-degree programs, and coordinates new student orientation for both Marshall and Leventhal students.
