About The Position

The College Academic Advisor serves as an academic navigator for undergraduate students in Newcomb-Tulane College as they explore the core curriculum and degree options within the schools. The position provides holistic student support and academic guidance. The advisor helps students develop plans for degree completion, set academic goals, and navigate the academic environment and requirements, including academic exploration across the undergraduate college and its five schools. The advisor collaborates with students, colleagues, and campus partners to address challenges, offer solutions, and support students’ progress through their chosen academic programs within Newcomb-Tulane College.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• One year of experience in academic advising, counseling, teaching, or dynamic student support.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Higher Education, Counseling, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with higher education policies, procedures, and academic systems.

Responsibilities

• Help students develop plans for academic degree completion.
