About The Position

The Asset Based Lending (ABL) Relationship Manager ensures loans are properly serviced, clients’ financial status is reviewed, and collateral is appropriately analyzed and verified. This role is responsible for more complex deals, evaluating all aspects of existing transactions of an assigned portfolio of clients to determine credit viability and making appropriate recommendations to senior management and the credit committee. Credit monitoring involves independent analysis of financial data, collateral trends, industry knowledge, and economic conditions to form an independent conclusion about an entity’s financial condition, ascertain key credit issues/mitigates, and identify risks in current loan structures. The role handles a mix of primarily direct and agent deals with multiple bank participants, focusing on larger, highly complex deals. It involves developing working relationships with borrowers, agent banks, and business partners, and collaborating closely with third-party turnaround consultants and professional appraisal/liquidator firms. The ABL Relationship Manager is responsible for setting client relationship strategy, preparing monthly and quarterly portfolio management reports, developing critical financial analysis, and processing client credit requests, amendments, waivers, and renewals in a timely manner. This includes reviewing client field exams, appraisals, and collateral trends to identify and proactively recommend appropriate reserves, ineligible changes, and credit solutions, and working closely with consultants on distressed credits. Ensuring overall collateral reporting and field exams are timely and accurate is crucial. Developing working relationships facilitates timely communication of critical credit analysis and recommendations. The role also involves visiting clients and overseeing banker calling efforts to cross-sell Bank products, enhancing relationships and revenue, and presenting to Senior Management and the Credit Committee for annual credit reviews, ensuring proper risk analysis and rating recommendations. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years ABL experience

  • Presents to Senior Management and Credit Committee annual credit reviews ensuring proper risk analysis and rating recommendations.
