The Asset Based Lending (ABL) Relationship Manager ensures loans are properly serviced, clients’ financial status is reviewed, and collateral is appropriately analyzed and verified. This role is responsible for more complex deals, evaluating all aspects of existing transactions of an assigned portfolio of clients to determine the viability of the credit and making appropriate recommendations to senior management and the credit committee. Credit monitoring includes independent analysis of financial data, collateral trends, industry knowledge, and economic conditions to form an independent conclusion about an entity’s financial condition and ascertain key credit issues/mitigates and risks in the current loan structure. The role handles a mix of primarily direct and agent deals with multiple bank participants, which are larger, highly complex deals. It involves developing a working relationship with borrowers, agent banks, and business partners, and working closely with third-party turnaround consultants and other professional appraisal/liquidator firms. The ABL Relationship Manager is responsible for setting client relationship strategy, preparing monthly and quarterly portfolio management reports, developing critical financial analysis, and processing client credit requests, amendments, waivers, and renewals in a timely manner. This includes reviewing client field exams, appraisals, and collateral trends to identify and proactively recommend appropriate reserves, ineligible changes, and credit solutions. The role also involves working closely with consultants on distressed credits, ensuring overall collateral reporting is timely and accurate, and that field exams are performed promptly. Developing a working relationship with borrowers, agent banks, and business partners facilitates the timely communication of critical credit analysis and recommendations. The position also involves visiting clients and overseeing banker calling efforts to cross-sell Bank products to enhance relationships and revenue, and presenting to Senior Management and the Credit Committee annual credit reviews, ensuring proper risk analysis and rating recommendations. Other duties as assigned.
