About The Position

The Ability Programs Volunteer supports YMCA events, community programs, and day-to-day operations while helping members with disabilities. Volunteers may work with people ranging from children to adults and provide direct support to members. The role also may include outreach, fundraising, and administrative tasks. No prior experience is required; training is provided if applicable. Clearances and training are required for volunteers assisting with YMCA programs and operations. They are not required for volunteers participating only in one-day special events, such as the Bucks County 5K or Kids Triathlon.

The position is based in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, with flexible scheduling. Available shifts include Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., and Fridays from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; schedules may vary depending on the event. Volunteers receive team support and opportunities to learn and grow while contributing to a nonprofit organization working to strengthen the community.

Requirements

• Must have completed 6th grade.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help.
• Dependable, with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass required clearances.
• Clearances and training are required for volunteers assisting with YMCA programs and operations; they are not required for volunteers participating only in one-day special events.
