About The Position

Senior Helpers is seeking a compassionate ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) Companion to support one of their Participants in the 40299 area. This role is more than just a caregiving job; it involves being a genuine companion and friend. The position is for 40 hours per week, with hours potentially varying. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or GED (must be provided for our records)
• Valid driver's license and car insurance
• Reliable personal transportation
• Available to work 40 hours per week
• No felony convictions

Nice To Haves

• CNA, HHA, or PCA certifications
• Experience caring for a family member
• Time spent as a full-time parent or homemaker
• Background working in an assisted living facility, skilled nursing facility, senior home, or senior center
• Experience as a teacher or child care worker
• A desire to give back during retirement

Responsibilities

• Performing a safety check upon arrival
• Preparing meals and helping select clothing for the day
• Playing games, running errands, and tidying up
• Assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming (hair and teeth)
• Providing medication reminders and mobility support around the home
• Being present and providing companionship to the participant
