About The Position

This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive coverage in abdominal imaging within a high-volume academic and tertiary care environment. UF Health Shands features nationally ranked subspecialty programs, a comprehensive children’s hospital, and a Level 1 Trauma Center. UF Health is also recognized as a premier National Medical Center for Team USA and is home to the only NCI-designed cancer center at a public university in Florida. Requirements

• Hold an M.D. or D.O. degree
• Be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology
• Be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Florida prior to employment

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an Abdominal Imaging fellowship is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Interpret cross-sectional imaging studies of the abdomen and pelvis, including CT, MRI and ultrasound across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings
• Provide subspecialty consultation to gastroenterology, urology, gynecology, oncology, and surgical services in multidisciplinary care teams
• Perform and interpret image-guided procedures such as biopsies and drainages when applicable to body imaging practice
• Participate in protocol optimization, quality improvement initiatives and standardization of abdominal and pelvic imaging techniques
• Teach and mentor radiology residents, fellows, and medical students through case readouts, conferences, and formal educational activities
• Participate in weekend and holiday coverage
• Engagement in scholarly activity
