About The Position

The ABC News Talent Development team oversees the hiring and growth of both on-air and off-air talent. This includes the implementation of programs, fellowships, and initiatives aimed at enhancing and broadening our talent pools. The approximate dates of this internship are mid-August 2026 through early January 2027.

Requirements

  • Experience with multi-tasking in a constantly evolving work environment, effectively balancing and prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in collaborative environments, and researching and/or using a range of tools to acquire information and present findings.
  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization.
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship.
  • Fully available to work 40 hours per week (hours and days to be determined by your supervisor and could include nights and/or weekends).
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area.
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ABC News shows and talent.
  • Experience related to social media including Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and YouTube.
  • Familiarity with and/or interest in news stories and talent development.
  • Experience with using Airtable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with supporting various development programs, such as fellowships, mentorship initiatives, and virtual events/conference planning.
  • Coordinate logistics, assist with scheduling, and ensure the smooth execution of these programs.
  • Assist in leading social media accounts, crafting content, and encouraging engagement to improve the organization's online presence.
  • Provide research around talent & coordinate profiles and bios.
  • Data entry for new system for talent tracking/feedback.
  • Help with searches for freelance producers/talent for long form unit and news division.
  • Access to talent staff meetings to provide insights into decision-making processes regarding talent engagement, reel screening, and other key aspects.
