ABA Therapist
About The Position
Damar is seeking passionate individuals to join their mission-driven team as ABA Therapists, making a real difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or autism. ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy utilizes principles like positive reinforcement to bring about meaningful and positive change in behavior. As an ABA Therapist, you will follow ABA therapy techniques in specialized, client-based sessions to achieve goals outlined in the client's behavior plan. This involves duties related to verbal behavior, behavior modification, treatment plan implementation, data collection, and intervention in individual client treatment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must be flexible and willing to work at any of the Damar ABA clinics
- Ability to pass and maintain Critical Moments Training (CMT) Certification
- Ability to pass and maintain CPR Certification
- Minimum age of 18 per licensure requirements
- Valid Indiana driver’s license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar’s insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)
- Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictions
- Successfully complete a pre-employment physical
- Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening

Responsibilities
- Provide direct services to children diagnosed with Autism in an ABA setting using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis
- Maintain neat, chronological documentation of all goals and behaviors
- Provide crisis intervention as necessary
- Interact professionally with parents, school, medical personnel, and others using only excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Keep abreast of current treatment technology, literature, practices, and regulations
- Ensure that the agency meets its quality improvement, evaluation and reporting requirements
- Respect the culture, diversity and rights of all clients, their families and the community
