ABA Tech Pediatric Center Full Time
About The Position
As an ABA Technician at Pine Rest, you’ll be part of a tight-knit team that believes in the healing power of your expertise and compassion. This position will assess patient care needs, implement treatment plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, continually reassess treatment plan according to patient care needs, and will implement behavior change procedures under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The ABA Technician must demonstrate excellent customer service, be able to manage stressful situations, be able to work with others, have great organizational skills and ability to provide support and empathy as needed to children, adults, and families. The ABA Technician must be responsible, reliable, able to work independently, have exceptional problem solving skills. The ABA Technician must demonstrate excellent customer service and have enthusiasm about the program and the Pine Rest organization.
Requirements
- Registered Behavioral Technician Certification is preferred.
- Board Certified Assistant Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) certification preferred.
- Knowledge through education or experience of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Understanding of the current therapy principles in area of expertise.
- On the job training or formal education in the application of ABA program principles.
- Graduate education in Psychology, Social Work or other areas related to Mental or Physical Health are desired but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assess, create, and implement behavior plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
- Reviews behavior plans for progress and efficacy.
- Establish a positive working relationship with patients, parents and all other family members.
- Maintain a positive relationship with assigned patients and their families.
- Function as a member of the treatment team.
- Understand the principles of behaviorally based programming and design.
- Sustain a working knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through training and educational opportunities available within Pine Rest or individually.
- Utilize processes in place for measuring patient behaviors.
- Document and report all necessary information according to established policies and procedures.
- Apply ABA processes for behavior modification.
- Maintain annual training and demonstrate competency in the required programmatic training.
- Provide support as needed to client and family.
- Assist in identification of treatment barriers within the family system and/or with the client and develop a plan to assist in addressing those barriers.

- Performs other duties or functions as assigned.
- Commitment to demonstrating Hospital and Residential Services Model of Care.
