About The Position

Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center is hiring a Behavior Technician to provide individualized, one-on-one ABA therapy to children with autism and other developmental disabilities in their homes. Technicians use personalized, engaging strategies and positive reinforcement to help children build communication, social, play, coping, self-help, and daily living skills, while supporting safer and more effective ways to navigate challenging behaviors. The position offers mentorship, clinical support, training, and opportunities for career advancement. Typical sessions last 2–5 hours and serve children primarily ages 3–17. Afternoon and evening schedules are available.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
• Afternoon/evening availability between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and vehicle registration.
• Willingness to travel up to 25 miles from home for client sessions.
• Strong communication, professionalism, and organizational skills.
• Comfort learning data collection and behavior intervention techniques.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with children is a plus, but not required.
• Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients’ homes.
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA.
• Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills.
• Help reduce challenging behaviors using positive, evidence-based strategies.
• Collect accurate session data and complete clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with supervising clinicians to support client progress.
• Communicate professionally with families and caregivers.
• Attend ongoing training and team meetings.
