Works directly with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other related developmental disabilities. Implements individualized academic and behavior programs, providing instruction using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Participates in the daily routine of a classroom and independently implements student-specific behavior plans. Collects and summarizes data to monitor student progress and identifies next steps. Conducts or assists with student skills assessments and communicates student progress to the BCBA and classroom teacher. Implements direct instruction in home or other environments to increase appropriate social skills, activities of daily living, and social interactions, or address other IEP goal areas. Models implementation of academic and behavior programs for parents and assists with training staff. Gathers, maintains, and prepares student materials, data sheets, and program notebooks. Responsible for any other duties assigned.
