About The Position

As an ABA Behavioral Tech Support for Y camp, you will support daily camp operations by assisting in the overall health and safety of camp staff and campers with the focus on mental health. You will promote, model, and implement behavior management strategies for Camp Directors, Camp Leaders and campers and their families. You will leverage your enthusiasm in supervising, participating with and engaging campers to create a high quality, fun camper experience. As an ABA Behavioral Tech Support, you’ll contribute to the Y movement by providing experiences that lead to a summer of adventure and a lifetime of memories. Provide one-on-one or small group support to campers with unique behavioral needs Help implement behavior strategies as part of a fun and inclusive camp experience Collaborate with camp staff to ensure a safe and positive environment for all

Requirements

• An interest in the well-being of camp age children, enthusiasm, patience, good humor, good judgment and a good spirit
• The ability to clearly communicate and effectively listen to children parents/guardians, members and other Y associates
• Prior experience working with youth, preferably in a counseling or social work capacity

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor’s degree or higher (preferred), or currently enrolled in an accredited clinical mental health counseling graduate program or related discipline
