North Arrow is seeking a Quality Director to lead and oversee our quality programs and initiatives, from quality systems and processes to client outcomes. This role includes a combination of on-site and remote work, based in our Traverse City, MI headquarters, and reports directly to our Chief Clinical Officer (CCO). The successful candidate in this role will earn $100,000+ in total compensation including base pay, incentive pay, employee-owner profit sharing and other company benefits.

Requirements

  • A Masters’ degree and minimum five (5) years experience as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in the treatment of individuals diagnosed with autism is required.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a way that can be understood and implemented by both seasoned and brand new BCBAs.
  • Strong grasp of information technology and the use of EHR systems, Google suite, and AI tools to streamline processes and reduce cost without impacting treatment quality or customer service.
  • Ability to lead through collaboration and achieve desired outcomes as an advisor and influencer versus through a chain-of-command structure.

Nice To Haves

  • Multiple years experience leading and/or holding primary responsibility for an ABA-based quality program, policies, processes and client outcomes tracking is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge/use of Hi-Rasmus clinical data and outcomes tracking is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Michigan Medicaid and commercial payor ABA program requirements to include diagnosis, assessments, treatment plans and rate structure(s) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operational ownership of quality systems including day-to-day oversight of North Arrow’s various quality initiatives, as directed by the CCO and in collaboration with senior clinical leadership.
  • Help define and track success measures to include overall clinical outcome metrics, clinical system and treatment delivery efficiency and effectiveness, and client satisfaction targets.
  • Proactively identify and resolve systematic and quality-related issues through problem-solving expertise and with a focus to appropriately balance solutions and the associated workload across clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve scalable clinical quality systems that support consistency, accountability, and measurable client outcomes across all regions and that are feasible and manageable for practitioners at all levels of experience.
  • Oversee North Arrow’s Autism Commission on Quality (ACQ) accreditation to ensure ongoing compliance with ACQ standards and successful re-accreditation when required.
  • Perform site visits and/or audits for Clinical Center(s) when needed, especially for centers falling short of target(s); develop, implement, and monitor corrective action plan(s) as needed.
  • Collaborate with the clinical leadership team to translate quality findings into practical training, coaching, and systems improvements that strengthen clinical quality and treatment integrity.
  • Serve as a role model in supporting North Arrow values, ethics, and company culture.
  • Engage key leaders and stakeholders in the Northern Michigan mental health and autism community (schools, CMHs, diagnosticians, family advocates, etc.) to build the North Arrow brand and to establish North Arrow as a thought and quality leader. Support and/or lead efforts to translate quality outcomes into higher reimbursement rates with payors.
  • Carry a small client caseload to include supervision of direct therapy, family training, and assessment(s) as required.
  • Grow quality programs to include clinical systems and staff that best reflect and support the company values of community, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Support a culture of professionalism, collegiality, psychological safety, and solution-oriented feedback throughout the organization.
