About The Position
Johnny Appleseed Elementary School is seeking an ABA Paraprofessional to assist students in the classroom with instructional materials as determined by the assigned teacher. The position also supports students with needs outside the classroom that are related to developing skills and meeting requirements for success in school. The Paraprofessional works under the direct supervision of a teacher and collaborates with special education staff, the BCBA, and other school personnel. This is a full-time, school-year position. Salary is commensurate with related experience. Applicants should submit a cover letter and resume.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher.
Responsibilities
- Assist students with academic, social/emotional, and behavioral tasks as assigned by the teacher or BCBA.
- Collaborate with Special Education Teachers, the BCBA, and other school personnel.
- Help students prepare instructional materials and books.
- Serve as a role model for students and staff by demonstrating positive attitudes and an effective work ethic.
- Participate in appropriate workshop programs and attend required meetings.
- Display ethical behavior when working with students and other school personnel.
