ABA Paraprofessional (RBT) - New Haven
About The Position
Behavior Stars is seeking motivated, dependable, and caring Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join their growing clinical team. This role involves providing high-quality, compassionate ABA services to children with autism and developmental needs. The position offers flexible scheduling, consistent support, meaningful work, and opportunities for professional growth. RBTs will provide 1:1 ABA therapy in home, school, and community settings, implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) under BCBA supervision, support clients in developing various skills, collect data, and collaborate with the clinical team.
Requirements
- Active RBT certification required
- Basic understanding of ABA principles and data collection
- Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
- Ability to work independently and maintain consistent attendance
- Experience with session note writing and documentation
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a must
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 6 months experience working with children preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy to children in home, school, and community settings
- Enter session notes on rethink for every visit obtain signatures from parents or teachers at time of visit
- Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) under BCBA supervision
- Support clients in developing communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills
- Collect accurate session data and complete session notes in a timely manner using Rethink
- Collaborate closely with BCBAs, families, and other members of the clinical team
- Help create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment for each client
