About The Position
We are looking for an ABA Paraprofessional (Behavior Technician) for a high-impact, weekend-only 1-on-1 case in Ossining, NY. The client is a 9-year-old boy with a moderate functioning level and severe behaviors. The role involves actively shaping behavior, utilizing functional communication training, and bringing order to the universe. The primary mission is to keep the client motivated, creatively engaged, and structured during weekend free time, focusing on emotional regulation, community outings, and functional daily living skills. This position is ideal for someone with clinical stamina and high energy to match a child's active nature.
Requirements
- Background in ABA, special education, or pediatric behavior support
- Patience of a saint mixed with the energy of a lightning bolt
- Ability to survive the weekend shift
- Energy to match a 9-year-old's warp-speed battery
- Ability to navigate severe behaviors
- Ability to keep a kid creatively engaged
